You still need to be aware of what is around your stateroom though. Aft cabins tend to be very popular because they offer wonderful views of the wake of the ship and dont usually have a lot of neighbours. Aft balcony staterooms are therefore located at the rear of the ship and must fit the nonstandard shape of the ships stern.
